Arches

Arches National Park is out of this world, with some of the most interesting rock formations on the planet. The Park is home to over 2,000 unique and beautiful arches.

The most well known and photographed arch in the world is known as the Delicate Arch. It is a bit of a hike to witness the majestic beauty of Delicate Arch, but it is well worth it. Once you arrive at the base of the Arch you will be amazed by its immense size, and you will feel inspired to be in the presence of one of the most recognized landmarks in all of the National Parks. The hike is about 3 miles round trip so bring lots of water, sunscreen, and a hat.

There are other famous spots in the park, like the Double Arch where two arches merge into a dome like structure. Double Arch is amazing to visit, because you can go right up next to these ancient giants. Access to the Arch is very close to a parking lot, so you don't have to walk far at all.

Another spectacular spot to visit is Landscape Arch which is the longest arch in the world, at a length of 290 feet. Over the past couple hundred years, this arch has lost massive chunks of rock, so foot travel under Landscape Arch is prohibited. The hike to the arch is only about a mile and a half round trip and is relatively easy.

Just a few miles outside of the main entrance of the Park is the town of Moab. This somewhat rustic town is unofficially known as the "off-roading capitol of the world." All around Moab there are some great off-roading trails, if you desire something a little more fast paced.

Arches National Park is extremely unique and offers a new adventure and beautiful sights at every turn. Arches is definitely a must see park.
